Christmas gift collecting 2024

Just like last year, Fristaden has already started collecting Christmas gifts! 

 Fristaden is accepting gifts and donations in the same way as in previous years. 

The Sanctuary's Christmas gift distribution that we had on the square in Jakobstad in 2022-2023 was very appreciated by children and young people.

The Sanctuary distributed over 170 Christmas gifts during these years. 

You can contribute with, for example: 

• Mittens, socks, hats, scarves, shoes and jackets - for all ages.
• Toys for children of all ages,
• sleds, cranes, skis, skates,  
• Family games, craft materials, PC or video games, game consoles, computers, controllers, mobile phones, prepaid cards (calls/data).
• Hygiene items, makeup, hair products, perfumes, swimming pool cards, cinema tickets, gym cards, bedding, curtains, towels, small rugs,
• Confectionery, sweets, cakes, gum.  

NOTE! The gifts do not need to be wrapped. The gifts are welcome to be placed in transparent plastic bags. 

Hygiene and makeup items should be unopened/new. 

Fristaden will package the gifts for distribution. 

Collection period during 28/10–20/12–2024 

We will receive the gifts at the Sanctuary office between Mon-Fri 10:00-17:00

Lindskogsgatan 20, 68 620 Jakobstad. 

It is also possible to provide your address, so that the Sanctuary workers/volunteers can collect the gifts directly from your stairs/home within the Jakobstad region. 

The gifts for children and young people will be distributed at the Swedish Farm this year during Christmas week on Thursday 19th, Friday 20th and Monday 23rd December in Jakobstad. More information about the times for distribution will be available during week 51.
